Sustainability
Green Inspirations-DMC is always conscious of environment as the name of the company itself portrays. The businesses we perform either traveling for leisure, professional meetings or incentives can have a negative impact on the environment. By understanding this we are always alert, committed and eager in finding ways by which our activities can ease on the negative environmental impacts, which our clients’ programs or our work in the office can cause in our destination. We believe that whatever good for the environment is always good for our business and our future. Below you find some of Green Inspirations-DMC sustainability policies
Reuse, Recycle, Reduce: Our policy is always based on these three R`s; and consciously we apply it in different ways, some of which are:
- All Green Inspirations-DMC, tours and excursion are environmentally Green rated.
- All of our jeeps, van and mini busses are equipped with Energy star rated refrigerators to keep water and ice cubes cold and with a vacuum flask to keep hot drinks hot during the tours.
- We provide a trash bin inside the vehicles and kindly ask our guests to refrain from throwing out of the car any waste during the safaris, excursions, tours and transfers and to refrain from feeding animals while in the Parks.
- Our outdoor events such as a picnic meal at the savannah or bush or along the beach shore are thoroughly evaluated by our environmental specialist to make sure they meet the standards of our environmental policy.
- All our picnic meals are served on reusable plastic utensils. In case we have to use disposable utensils we do provide a separate bin for recyclable waste.
- The hotels, camps and lodges we do offer to our guests are those applying high standards of environmental policy.
- This also applies to the event venues for which we make sure that they provide recycling bins both in public areas (i.e., poolside), in the kitchen, and in the back stage to make recycling as easy as possible, so the fact that we are doing business there, will not affect the future generation’s wellbeing.
Further we apply an environmental policy in our office by:
- Giving away, to those who are in need, items that we no longer use such as computers, printers etc.
- Avoiding paper work as much as possible, by fully utilizing the ICT infrastructure provide by the company such as sending invoices and quotes via email` as PDF files.
- We save energy by installing low energy light bulbs and electronic gadgets throughout and ensuring that ICT & Electrical appliances are shut down after work or when not in use .
- Reusing waste paper (from the printer) whenever possible by making use of the back side for notes or rough papers. etc.
- Purchasing products made with recycled paper. Such as paper towels, printer paper
- Purchasing environmental friendly rated products such as safe soaps and detergents.
- We encourage the use of low impact transport for travel to and from work or business travel. The majority of our staff uses public transport to attend meetings.
- We always avoid unnecessary travel by making use of instant messaging, video and audio conferencing/virtual lobbies and telephone and email.
